หิรัญ (นีโน่) เศรษฐีใหญ่ เจ้าของกิจการเงินกู้ ‘วัตโกเศรษฐกิจ’ มอบหมายให้ อรรคพล (บอย AF2) หลานชายที่เพิ่งเดินทางกลับมาจากต่างประเทศ เอาสัญญาเงินกู้ไปขู่บังคับชาว ‘บางรื่นสุข’ ให้ย้ายออกด่วนเพื่อที่ตัวเองจะเอาที่ดินไปทำธุรกิจตึกแถวร่วมกับ คุณนายเม้า (ดารณีนุช) หุ้นส่วน ทันทีที่ ‘อรรคพล’ ไปถึงและได้พบกับชุมชนที่สุขสงบ วิถีชีวิตแบบเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง รวมทั้งกลุ่มวงดนตรี ‘อารามบอย’ ที่มีสมาชิก สัปเหร่อยุทธ (ว่าน) และ ก๊วนเด็กวัด ดำ (โจ), แดง (ปอ) , เด่น (ตูน) และ ลิเกตี๋ (อ๊อฟ AF2) ทำให้ความหวังที่จะทำธุรกิจบันเทิงอย่างที่ตัวเองฝันไว้ผุดขึ้นมาอีกครั้ง อรรคพลจึงฉีกสัญญาเงินกู้ทั้งหมดทิ้ง ในขณะเดียวกัน ภารดี (มิ้น) น้องสาวก็เกิดไปหลงรักกับ รังสรรค์ (ตุ้ย) ครูสอนเปียโนจนๆ อีก เมื่อหลานชาย,หลานสาว ไม่ได้ดังใจเศรษฐีหน้าเลือด จึงไล่ทั้งคู่ออกจากบ้าน โดยยื่นเงื่อนไขให้เอาเงินมาไถ่ที่ 1 ล้านบาท

ในเวลาที่ท้อแท้สิ้นหวัง อรรคพลได้รับความช่วยเหลือจาก กิ่งแก้ว (พัดชา) เด็กสาวกำพร้าในบางรื่นสุข จนทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งคู่พัฒนาเป็นความรัก และช่วยกันหาหนทางที่จะหาเงินมาไถ่ถอนที่ ด้วยการให้วงอารามบอย อัดแผ่นเสียง โดยให้ ‘รังสรรค์’ รับหน้าที่แต่งเพลง คิดได้แต่เงินทุนที่จะทำน่ะไม่มี ทั้งหมดจึงตัดสินใจไปกู้เงินกับ คุณนายมิตยา (ผัดไท) เหตุการณ์ดูเหมือนจะไปได้สวย งานเพลงได้รับการโปรโมทและเตรียมที่จะเปิดการแสดง มีหรือที่ ‘หิรัญ’ จะยอมนิ่งเฉย จึงใช้อำนาจเงิน จ้างบุรุษชุดดำเข้ามาป่วนในงาน เมื่อต้องเจออุบายเล่ห์กลต่างๆ เรื่องจึงไม่ง่ายอย่างที่คิด การร่วมมือร่วมใจของพวกเค้าจะหาทางแก้ไขอุปสรรค และทำตามความฝันและความหวังสำเร็จ

Before the concert songs kick in, this set begins with a studio recording of a previously unreleased song, "Aime", exclusive to this album. The rest of the concert recordings feature repertoire from Fabian's 2005 album "9" and the other older songs that pre-date the "9" song are all performed acoustically. Some had to be entirely reworked to fit the concept of this live show. In addition, Fabian delivers a tribute to her idol Barbra Streisand by performing "Papa Can You Hear Me" and "A Piece Of Sky", both from the soundtrack of Streisand's film tour de force "Yentl".

Growing up on the south side of Chicago IL, Jennifer started singing in the church choir at the age of seven. For Jennifer, emoting inspirational gospel is the cornerstone of her beginnings as a talented singer, "the church is my favorite place to sing. My first solo was "Must Jesus Bare The Cross Alone." She attributes her vocal ability to her dear late maternal grandmother, Julia Kate Hudson, who was an avid churchgoer and also sang in the choir. Throughout grammar and high school, Jennifer cultivated & showcased her talent by participating in a host of local talent shows and musicals. During this time she also performed at various clubs, weddings and benefits in Chicago and surrounding areas.

In the Fall of 2002 Jennifer successfully auditioned for one of the Disney Cruise ships and landed her first major role as "Calliope", the head muse on the "Disney Wonder" line the ran from February 2003 through August of 2003 Jennifer loved her time performing on the ship and considers herself a member of the Disney family and was thrilled to be able to do what she loves to do, stating, "singing for thousands of people, and to be paid to do this, it’s amazing!." Taking a leap of faith, Jennifer consciously decided not to renew her contract with Disney; instead she flew to Atlanta to audition for the Fox hit reality show, American Idol: Season 3 in August 2003.

Amongst 70,000 hopefuls Jennifer was a stand out choice as a top 12 competitor. She wowed the idol judges and viewers spanning across the globe with great performances of classic songs by icons such as Aretha Franklin & Whitney Houston. As judge Randy Jackson’s Wild Card pick, Jennifer’s journey with American Idol accelerated her to the 7th position. Viewer response to her early departure was quite controversial and unprecedented and sent shockwaves across America as well as unleashing a torrent of criticism about the idol voting process. During her time in the "Top 12", she received high praise from some of music’s biggest industry legends. Sir Elton John was quoted as saying she was "the best of the lot". The deep, rich, powerful, classic texture of Jennifer Hudson’s voice continues to touch everyone that hears her sing. In response to hearing Jennifer’s incredible range during the competition preparation for his very own classic, "Weekend In New England" Barry Manilow stated

"My catalog of songs requires that you have range, you cannot do what Jennifer is doing, she takes it to a whole other level.".

Movie director Quentin Tarentino was also enchanted by hearing Jennifer’s powerful rendition of the Whitney Houston song "I Have Nothing" from the mega hit soundtrack "The Bodyguard". Quentin states "Hudson takes on Houston and WINS!" Although Jennifer did not win the idol crown she left an indelible mark on the music industry and viewers across the world.

After the show ended the top 10 finalists embarked on a 48 city tour and Jennifer received critical praise for her performances from many of the local newspapers covering the event. Being voted off was an initial disappointment but reaction to her departure yielded much unprecedented coverage that includes a duet with Barry Manilow on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" who also invited her to sing on tour with him, heavy spotlighting from Entertainment Tonight & other entertainment news intrigued to interview Jennifer as well as a guest spot on David Letterman’s Top 10 List. Of her idol experience Jennifer has this to say, "I have learned a lot," she said. "It's been the biggest experience of my life.

"It's just a blessing from God to just be able to use my talent to make my living - to be on American Idol and be on stage."

You can put those rumors of a feud on the set of Dreamgirls to rest. Beyoncé Knowles says that she and her costar Jennifer Hudson, of American Idol fame, didn't have bad blood while filming the movie.

"I knew that the character that I played wasn't the star," Knowles, 25, told reporters on Saturday about knowing full well that her Diana Ross-esque role of Deena Jones was less meaty than Hudson's part as Effie White – a part that is already getting Hudson Oscar buzz. "She wasn't the underdog. She didn't have the struggle and the pain and the dramatic scenes that Effie had, and I was fine with that."

Taking the role was about proving herself as an actress. "I'm already a star. I already have nine Grammys. Everyone knows I can sing," Knowles said. "I did this because I wanted people to know that I can act and I can play someone so different from myself."

So, what about the rumors of jealousy towards Hudson? "It's really unfortunate that everyone is saying I'm jealous of Jennifer. It hurts my heart because it's so clichéd. ? They're saying that I'm mad when I knew going into this that I was playing Deena," said Knowles. "Because I'm a star they just automatically assume that I'm not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am."

But the R&B star did admit that she would have liked to have sung Effie's song, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," a showstopper that, in large part, helped get Jennifer Holliday a Tony Award for best actress for the original 1981 Broadway version of Dreamgirls.

"I mean," said Knowles, "I wish I could've gained 20 pounds and played Effie."

Asked if she'd really have packed on the weight for the part, Knowles said, "Yes. I absolutely would have, but Bill (Condon, the movie's writer-director) didn't even believe that I could be Deena. So imagine if I would've said, 'Bill, I want to be Effie.' "
