I had to escape, the city was sticky and cruel, Maybe I should have called you first, But I was dying to get to you. I was dreaming while I drove the long straight road ahead. Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide, This fever for you is just burning me up inside.
I drove all night to get to you. Is that alright? I drove all night, crept in your room, Woke you from your sleep to make love to you. Is that alright? I drove all night.
What in this world keeps us from tearing apart? No matter where I go I hear the beating of your heart. I think about you when the night is cold and dark. No one can move me the way that you do, Nothing erases this feeling between me and you.
I drove all night to get to you. Is that alright...?
Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide, This fever for you is just burning me up inside. I drove all night to get to you. Is that alright...? Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide, This fever for you is just burning me up inside.
29 year old Sonny Rollins with just bass and drums is playing "Weaver of Dreams" in the Netherlands in the Singer Theatre in the small town of Laren in 1959. A Dutch collector was able to make me some unique video clips. Apparently the Netherlands appealed to many of the modern American jazz musicians in these days which resulted in a number seldom heard performances. SonnyRollins (born September 7, 1930 in New York City) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist. Sonny Rollins has had a long, productive career in jazz, beginning his career at the age of 11 and playing with piano legend Thelonious Monk before reaching the age of 20. Rollins is still touring and recording today, having outlived several of his jazz contemporaries such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Art Blakey, all performers with whom he has recorded. In 1957 he pioneered the use of just bass and drums as accompaniment for his saxophone solos, a texture that came to be known as "strolling"; Throughout his career, Rollins used the technique, even backing bass and drum solos with sax licks (and bass for the drummer or drums for the bass player).

2006 Various Artists - Nordic Lounge Vol 3 Cat nr: dnmcd007 Format: CD Release date: 2005-04-07
The third volume in the critically acclaimed Nordic Lounge series follows the same successful concept as the first two releases. A careful selection of the finest contemporary music from the Scandinavian music scene. This time though slightly more up tempo and delivered in a smooth mix by the Dealers of Nordic Music; Jakob Lusensky and Andreas Agdestein. So what is Scandinavian contemporary music anyway, and is there a specific Scandinavian sound? Jakob Lusensky one of the dealers explains:
I think Scandinavian contemporary electronic music in many ways resembles the modern Scandinavian design. The music, as well as Scandinavian design, is based on purity and simplicity and this is recognized in the quality of the handcraft.
The compilation starts off with Swedish artist Hirdดs younger brother Cloud and the track Winternights. This track works almost as a lead theme for the rest of the compilation - giving the listener a feeling of what is to come. With an organic sounds and an winter atmosphere it features the very talented vocalist Yoanna already known from the previous volumes of Nordic Lounge.
The act Plej continues along the path that Cloud embarked on. With Ernesto providing the vocals, this piece truly underlines the essence of Nordic Lounge. The compilation accelerates with a track from Dalminjo moving into a more jazzy, uptempo section together with the Danish group Context and the Finnish jazz outfit Five Corners Quintet. Here with a remix from Sumo-On-Wheels. In the same spirit Hird continues in collaboration with vocalist Yukimi Nagano resulting in the marvellous track “I love you my hope” that already have been hyped and rotated on radio stations around the globe.

Diary of 16 - 20 May 20071:44 PM
Even at her funeral, Isabella Blow managed to have the most spectacular hat in the room.
Some of fashion's biggest names gathered to say their farewells to the style guru known for her love of eccentric headgear and red lipstick
Others, such as the model Sophie Dahl and designer Alexander McQueen, joined him among the 350 mourners at Gloucester Cathedral. One of the pall bearers was Otis Ferry, the son of her friend Bryan Ferry who arranged her first job in fashion at Vogue magazine in New York.
Blow was said to regularly attend the cathedral "always in different hats" with her husband Detmar, whom she married there in 1989.
Detmar attended today's service in the same white suit that he wore at their marriage. The service opened with the hymn O Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem, composed by John Blow, a descendant of Blow's husband.
Isabella Blow, ‘Fashion's Nutty Aunt,’ Is Dead
!!!!!!
Isabella Blow — editor, character, inspiration — died in London today, and the news came as a sad shock to the fashion community, particularly those who adore that world's more eccentric side. Blow, 48, was fashion's nutty aunt: always dressed perfectly in an outrageous hat, couture duds, painfully high stiletto heels; her lips were always fuchsia, scarlet, aubergine, and richly so. She worked formally in a variety of industry jobs, starting as Anna Wintour's assistant at Vogue and later serving as style editor of London's Sunday Times and fashion director of Tatler. She served less formally as muse to and champion of some of today's greatest talents: Alexander McQueen drew inspiration from Blow's extravagant, jolie laide persona, and Philip Treacy, London's top milliner, long designed with Blow in mind. Her personal life was famously rocky: She was painfully disinherited from her father's estate and was open about the difficulties she and her similarly stylish husband, Detmar, faced when trying to conceive. But, above all else, she loved fashion. She'll be missed for that, for her flair, her wit, her generosity of spirit, her style. —Harriet Mays Powell and Amy Larocca
Toward the end of her life, Blow had become seriously depressed and reportedly was anguished over her inability to "find a home in a world she influenced", wrote Cathy Horyn of The New York Times on 10 May 2007. As one of Isabella's friends, Daphne Guinness, told Horyn, "She was upset that [Alexander] McQueen didn't take her along when he sold his brand to Gucci. Once the deals started happening, she fell by the wayside. Everybody else got contracts, and she got a free dress". According to a 2002 interview with Tamsin Blanchard, it was Blow who brokered the deal in which Gucci purchased McQueen's label. Other pressures on her fragile psyche were money problems and infertility; according to an article in the Daily Mail, Blow and her husband had unsuccessfully tried in vitro fertilization eight times. "We were like a pair of exotic fruits that could not breed when placed together", she said.
Following a row with her mother-in-law over which member of the family would inherit Hilles, Isabella and Detmar Blow separated — Detmar went on to have an affair with the bisexual novelist Stephanie Theobald, while Isabella entered into a liaison with a gondolier she met in Venice — but they reconciled 18 months later.[5]
In 2006, again according to The New York Times, Blow attempted suicide twice, once by jumping from the Hammersmith Flyover, which resulted in her breaking both legs. After this, the paper noted, the fashion icon "became more and more remote, convinced that she would end up as a bag lady." According to an article published in the Evening Standard after her death, Detmar Blow confirmed that his wife suffered from depression and had once declared, "I can't beat it". She also learned that she was suffering from advanced ovarian cancer around this time [6]
On 6 May 2007, during a weekend house party at her husband's ancestral home, Hilles, near Stroud, Gloucestershire, where the guests included Treacy and his life partner, Stefan Bartlett, Blow announced that she was going shopping. Instead, she later was discovered in a state of distress by one of her younger sisters and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where Blow told the doctor that she had drunk the weedkiller Paraquat.
She died at the hospital two days later. The London Times reported on 9 May 2007 the details of Blow's death and noted that her husband's father had also used Paraquat to commit suicide. [7]
She was buried from Gloucester Cathedral on 15 May 2007.[8] Her coffin, made of willow, was surmounted by one of her Philip Treacy hats instead of a floral tribute, and her pallbearers included Otis Ferry, a son of the rock star Bryan Ferry. The actor Rupert Everett delivered one of the eulogies. [9]
Sad ......... I love her ....and her hats
