Live Version  Jem - It's Amazing It's been four years since she released her debut album "Finally Woken", so here you have a new track called "It's Amazing", which is included on the soundtrack of "Sex & The City", the song is really cool, Jem is working on her next album,is now confirmed for release in late Summer 2008, can't wait for this one. DL: It's Amazing  Ashanti - The Declaration [Retail]It's been about 4 years since Ashanti dropped her third studio album "Concrete Rose". Even though she managed to have a hit on the album ("Only U") it's her lowest-selling studio album to date. She's had some single & album release date issuses but that aside and Ashanti is back. Current single "The Way That I Love You" is doing very well on the Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Charts but doesn't share the same success on the Hot 100 just yet. As for the album this time around Ashanti took control and had a list of many producers she's never worked with before. Even with the list of A-list producers I can't say I hear anything new. The beats stick to straightforward bounce or toned down ballads. I can hear the growth in her voice and it's clear she has matured but I feel lacks personality when she sings. Enrique's song "Can You Hear Me?" leaked some time ago but I wanted to wait and find out it's purpose. It has been chosen as the official song of the UEFA Euro 2008 football tournament. He is set to perform the song live at the June 29, 2008 final in Vienna, Austria. The song is also set to be on a re-issue of the Insomniac album being released in certain countries. I downloaded the video file for this show, which was aired on BBC1. The video is very different from the show that was broadcast over the air. I downloaded the original radio broadcast bootleg for this show which is at 192. It's one long uncut file. The person who posted the torrent attempted to splice it up, and wound up making a mess out of it. His version of the final show is at 128. He was kind enough to incude the original uncut file, so I won't be too hard on him. The version I created from the video file is superb, and at 320. The setlist was hacked to pieces during the original television broadcast. The order of the songs differ greatly when compared to the radio broadcast. This posting is missing about 5 songs. I'll bring those to you as soon as possible. I'll see if I can edit the original uncut show. Movietone - Ocean Song DL Hallam Foe is a sweet, troubled and old fashioned teenager who learns about life at his father's estate near Peebles through his favorite pastime - voyeurism. Hallam is convinced that his stepmother Verity is responsible for his mother's death by drowning two years earlier. Hallam's sister leaves home to attend university, and it becomes clear that Verity and his father want Hallam to move on as well. Hallam initially refuses due to his suspicion of Verity, but she uses his diaries to blackmail him into leaving. To escape his father and stepmother, Hallam travels to Edinburgh. Upon arrival in Edinburgh, Hallam sees Kate, who has a striking resemblance to his late mother. He manages to convince her to give him a job as a kitchen porter at a city centre hotel. Hallam makes his home in the clocktower of the hotel because of its vantage point over Kate's home in the old town of Edinburgh, where he can spy on her. He also spies on Kate through skylights on her roof. Hallam learns that another senior hotel employee (Alasdair) is having an extra-marital affair with Kate. Alasdair then discovers Hallam's lookout in the clocktower. Hallam attempts to blackmail Alasdair with the knowledge of his adultery, but Alasdair dismisses him. Hallam retaliates by finding Alasdair's wife and thereby demonstrating the ability, if he wishes, to inform her of the affair, which forces Alasdair to back down. Hallam eventually works his way up to being a front-of-house porter at the hotel. On his 18th birthday, Kate invites Hallam to have a few drinks after work for the first time legally. Whilst drunk, Hallam reveals his continuing love for his late mother. This seems to fascinate Kate, as she "likes creepy guys". A complex relationship starts to build between Hallam and Kate from this point. Hallam's father and stepmother track Hallam down at this time because Hallam had reported his suspicions about his mother's death to the police in Edinburgh. They track him down because his father has run up significant debts and needs to develop some of the land on the estate, but Hallam is entitled to consultation under his mother's will. Hallam refuses to co-operate due to his suspicion of Verity. Hallam's hatred of Verity consumes him entirely, and he initially attempts an action which he hopes will end the struggle, before his humanity begins to take over. Only at this point does his father reveal why Hallam's suspicions were unfounded. This revelation allows Hallam to realise that his anger is in fact with his mother for leaving him. This ceremony, designed to give an auspicious beginning to the new planting season, originally was a pure Brahmanic rite. During the reign of King Rama IV some Buddhist elements were added to it. Schoolchildren are on holiday during this, the hottest time of the year and, countrywide, farm labor braces for the gargantuan effort of hand-planting rice in a way that would have been familiar to their ancestors, and their ancestors before them. The Annual First Ploughing Ceremony which is an ancient Brahminic rite to ensure a good harvest due to an abundance of rain and an absence of pestilence and floods was revived by the Government, in the year B.E. 2503 (A.D. 1960), in accordance with His Majesty the King's wish to give importance to a day dedicated to farmers throughout the Kingdom. The grains sown on the Ceremonial Field at the Sanam Luang Grounds since the year B.E. 2505 (A.D. 1962) have been rice seeds from the Chitralada Farm's experimental rice fields in the grounds of Chitralada Villa, Dusit Palace, Bangkok, Thailand. His Majesty the King initiated the Chitralada Farm's Rice Cultivation Project in the grounds of Chitralada Villa, Dusit Palace, in order to conduct experiments in rice cultivation and crop rotation whereby data could be collected in order for His Majesty to analyze before devising ways and means to help raise the standard of living of the Thai people, the majority of whom are farmers. The project commenced on July 16th. B.E. 2504 (A.D. 1961) when His Majesty sowed rice seeds in the experimental rice plots. His Majesty the King personally designated varying formulae in the usage of chemical and organic fertilizers and witnessed the various stages of rice farming from seedling to harvesting and threshing. The Annual Ploughing Ceremony is also an occasion when His Majesty the King graciously presents awards and certificates to outstanding farmers from each region, whose fields produced the highest yields during the previous year. Upon completion of the ceremony, farmers from all parts of the Kingdom try to obtain some seeds, which had previously been sown, in order to mix with their own grains as portending good omen when scattered in their own fields. Before the Annual Ploughing Ceremony one day, thursday May 8, 1997, His Majesty the King pours lustral water on the forehead of Permanent Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperatives Taweesakdi Sesawech in his capacity as Phraya Raekna, Lord of the Ploughing Ceremony, during a preparation ceremony involving gold and silver pails held at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the Grand Palace. Phraya Raekna, with the assistance of four celestial maidens and a pair of sacred oxen, will lead the annual traditional Ploughing Ceremony at Sanam Luang this morning, Friday May 9, 1997, to mark the beginning of the rice-planting season. His Majesty will preside over the ceremony, present awards to last year's outstanding farmers and distribute rice seeds fro the experimental crop station in the grounds of Chitralada Villa, Dusit Palace as a gift to farmers throughout the country. The ceremony began at 8.30 a.m. on May 9, 1997 and was presided over by His Majesty the King, who was accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Before the ceremony, Phraya Raekna chose a four-keup-long (one metre) panung cloth out of tree pieces --- four-kueb-long, five-kueb-long and six-kueb-long items. From the length of the cloth chosen by the Phraya Raekna, it was predicted that there would be plenty of water this year, highland rice crops would be bountiful while lowland rice crops would sustain some damage. During the ceremony, the oxen, Rung and Roj, were given grass, rice, corn, beans, sesame, liquor and water to choose from. They chose corn and water and thus it was predicted that there would be abundant crops, vegetables, rice and other agricultural products this year.
