Ashanti - The Declaration [Retail]
It's been about 4 years since Ashanti dropped her third studio album "Concrete Rose". Even though she managed to have a hit on the album ("Only U") it's her lowest-selling studio album to date. She's had some single & album release date issuses but that aside and Ashanti is back. Current single "The Way That I Love You" is doing very well on the Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Charts but doesn't share the same success on the Hot 100 just yet. As for the album this time around Ashanti took control and had a list of many producers she's never worked with before. Even with the list of A-list producers I can't say I hear anything new. The beats stick to straightforward bounce or toned down ballads. I can hear the growth in her voice and it's clear she has matured but I feel lacks personality when she sings. The album is a step up from her last effort and is a nice listen. Deff check it out and BUY YOUR COPY ON JUNE 3RD!!

Enrique Iglesias - Can You Hear Me? [CDM]
It has been extremely slow lately and not much has come our way. Enrique's song "Can You Hear Me?" leaked some time ago but I wanted to wait and find out it's purpose. It has been chosen as the official song of the UEFA Euro 2008 football tournament. He is set to perform the song live at the June 29, 2008 final in Vienna, Austria. The song is also set to be on a re-issue of the Insomniac album being released in certain countries. The CDM includes the Main Version, and Moto Blanco mixes. Deff check it out, Enjoy!!

One of the most highly acclaimed Japanese films has come back to the big screen as a sequel! With the same main cast and staff, another heartwarming story takes us back to the lively ‘Third Street’.

The drama ALWAYS- SUNSET ON THIRD STREET (Always San-Chome no Yuhi) was released in Japan on November 5, 2005. Not only was it a big box office hit with 2,840,000 admissions; it won many awards including the Japan Academy Prizes. The film became so popular that it triggered a national fad of nostalgia for the “Showa Era” of Japan [1926-1989] and the movie itself became a social phenomenon. The movie is based on Ryohei Saigan’s manga Sunset on Third Street (San-Chome no Yuhi), which is serially published in Big Comic Original by Shogakukan. The manga has sold over 18 million copies and is one of the most popular comics in Japan.

ALWAYS- SUNSET ON THIRD STREET is set in 1958 Tokyo. Norifumi Suzuki (Shinichi Tsutsumi) owns a small auto body shop named “Suzuki Auto”, where he works and lives with his loving family. One day, he comes back home with a new employee, Mutsuko Hoshino (Maki Horikita), who moves in with the Suzuki family. However, Mutsuko had expected that Suzuki Auto would be a big company so she is disappointed to see how small the shop is.

Meanwhile, Ryunosuke Chagawa (Hidetaka Yoshioka) lives alone across the street from Suzuki Auto. Chagawa is a writer of pulp fiction stories who runs a candy shop to make ends meet. He is asked by Hiromi Ishizaki (Koyuki), the woman whom he secretly loves, to look after a boy called Junnosuke (Kenta Suga) who has no place to go. Chagawa doesn’t want to live with Junnosuke, but he agrees to do so for Hiromi.

After a while, the two new residents become part of the close knit community of Third Street, but the situation changes when Junnosuke’s wealthy father Yasunari Kawabuchi (Fumiyo Kohinata) shows up to take his son away from Chagawa, and Hiromi suddenly disappears…

Speed Racer is a 2008 film that is a live action film adaptation of the 1960s Japanese anime series Speed Racer. The film is written and directed by the Wachowski brothers, who also serve as co-producers. The film has been in development since 1992, changing writers and directors until producer Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers collaborated to begin production on Speed Racer as a family film. Actor Emile Hirsch was cast as Speed, the hero of the animated series, and Christina Ricci portrays Speed's girlfriend, Trixie. Speed Racer was shot between June and November 2007 in Potsdam and Berlin, Germany at an estimated budget of $120,000,000.[2] Speed Racer premiered on May 3, 2008 as the closing film at the Tribeca Film Festival,[3] and was released on May 9, 2008.
