All Over the World [English Version] Though this is obviously a "cheapo" release with very sparse information about the tracks and the artist, it is actually a pretty well compiled CD of some of Hardy's best early recordings. Containing most her of biggest hits like "Ce Petite Coeur", "Tous les Garcons et les Filles", "La Maison ou Jái Grandi" and her only British top 20 hit-single "All Over the World", the CD gives a fine introduction to the most melodic and catchy side of Hardy. A few harder to find tracks have also been included, among those English versions of some of her biggest hits in France. For those who are not familar with Hardy's Vogue recordings or who just like intelligent 1960's pop, this CD is highly recommended. God Only Knows 12. Waters Of March Singer Luciana Souza's blend of Brazilian pop and jazz takes a slightly unusual but very enchanting turn with NEW BOSSA NOVA. Produced by her husband Larry Klein (who's worked with Joni Mitchell and Peter Gabriel), Souza takes on a set of songs almost entirely by pop and rock artists. She lovingly remakes in her own image songs by the Beach Boys ("God Only Knows"), Sting ("When We Dance"), and Randy Newman ("Living Without You"). Special guest James Taylor appears, contributing vocals to his own "Never Die Young." Luciana Souza proves how adaptable bossa nova is to American pop, and vice versa, graciously advancing the form instead of merely preserving it. The new track is very appealing in the Club 8 kind of way and offers a bit of the Peter Bjorn & John’s “Young Folks” kind of bass lines and percussions as well. Groovy stuff indeed. “After almost five years of absence one of Swedens most important indiepop bands are finally, finally back. This is the band that first introduced dancey electropop to Sweden, started a whole indiepop scene in Indonesia, gained critical success over and over again in the US, and gave bossa nova a new face in Spain. We’re of course talking about the glorious return of Club 8. Labrador is intensely proud to present the second single from Club 8s upcoming album “The boy who couldn’t stop dreaming” (out September 26). “Heaven” introduces a hint of Brasilian carnivals with a mix of euphoria and melancholica, percussion grooves and a lyrical death theme.
