FLOW is more than just an album and song title. As Lynne puts it, "Flow is the developing philosophy of my life right now. As things occur, you can either fight them or go with them, figuring out solutions and making the best of a challenging situation." Judging from this most excellent solo debut, she has more than overcome whatever challenges stood between her and this outstanding collection of tunes, and must be incredibly proud of the results. Her voice is unique, but if I were to suggest comparisons, names that come to mind are Deneice Williams, Minnie Riperton, and Corinne Bailey Rae. I'm picky when it comes to vocals for the Smooth Jazz format, so trust me when I tell you that Lynne Fiddmont is a perfect fit. Expect big things from her in the future and get into the FLOW now!

I heard Katie singing "Just Like Heaven" during the credits of the movie of the same name. I thought, "Who is this amazing singer?" I'd never done this before, but I got her name from the credits, went online and ordered her CD, and now I can't quit playing it. Her voice is full of emotion, and each time I listen I discover a new vocal inflection I had missed before--a little breathiness, a slight cry or crack in the voice at just the right moment. The songs are all great. I especially like Katie's "I Cried For You" and Mike Batt's "Thank You Stars" and "Nine Million Bicycles".

In the car, cleaning the house, making love... Jordan was known by the New Kids fans for being the best singer of the group. He proves that the adulthood made him better in that cd. Really good vocals, extraordinary melodies and beautiful songs, most of it that we, children from the 80's, know so well. And plus, we have some new songs too. Beautiful songs, I must say. RBD: Christopher, Maite, Dulce Maria, Alfonso, Anahi. Latin teen-pop superstars RBD took their time warming up to their first English-language venture, but the group's growing confidence and their tremendous popularity in the Latin pop market held them in good stead for 2006's REBELS. Like much teen and commercial urban and R&B, REBELS flirts with contemporary hip-hop production, throwing in bits of reggaeton and club music amid the catchy melodies. But the distinguishing factor of REBELS is the mixture of Spanish and English lyrics. RBD have made their songs deliberately simple and learnable for listeners in both languages, especially on the choruses, which usually feature vocals from the entire ensemble (which encourages anyone within earshot to sing along). This simplifying impairs the energy of the band at points, but the greater exposure the bi-lingual REBELS will enjoy should make up for any shortcomings.

This album is so good. I love her swagger on the tracks. This goes again and shows you that Monica goes through sames thing girl and women today go through. Her voice is still strong and I really love this album I can't put it down. # 10 is my favorite because everyone can relate to that song.. I love this album. It shows a mature side of Monica. Raw with Swizz Beatz was an unexpected but still hot collabo. My favorite song still is my everything and a dozen roses. I think the album is very good but I think Monica is underpromoted compared to most artists like Beyonce and Ciara. Overall though, it is a must buy album of the year.

Rain's 4th album, Rain's World is superb!!! There isn't one track that I did not like..except for maybe the bonus remix. I was a decent Rain fan before but after this album..I'm now his biggest fan. I love his voice.. his ballad's show off his voice well and makes you just melt while listening to it. His up beat, collaborations make you want to get up and dance. He is so good in what he does..and I cannot wait for him to release an album in the U.S.

It would be really easy to just write off Black Cherry as just another Kumi album. Yeah, it’s her first “original” album since secret, but there’s still quite a number of old songs on the album. Despite that, I feel that Black Cherry makes a strong showing, especially since I enjoyed a majority of her new songs. Candle Light stuck out the most to me because it was such a sweet-sounding song, driven solely by her voice and a piano. It’s no Angela Aki composition, but I was impressed. Milk Tea was alright considering that it’s her first time writing a song, but I applaud anyone who tries to write music because, quite frankly, I think it’s hard as hell. The worst song on the album has to be WON’T BE LONG~Black Cherry Version~. I feel sorry for the people who don’t get the first pressing of the album because at least the Red Cherry Version saves the album from the bad taste of the Black Cherry Version despite it being the EXILE & Koda Kumi arrangement of the song with just Kumi singing it. The Black Cherry Version tries to krunk things up and, quite frankly, it destroys the song and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It’s the only outstanding stinker on the album, I think.

Recorded live at the Greek Theatre, Los Angeles, California. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Following a successful collaboration at a 1999 London benefit show, it made perfect sense for Jimmy Page to invite the Black Crowes to be his back-up band for a mini-tour later that year. Recorded during a pair of sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre, these sets are dominated by Led Zeppelin tunes, along with a mix of classic blues nuggets and covers of Fleetwood Mac and Page's first group, The Yardbirds. (Due to contractual obligations, no Crowes songs are included here). Chris Robinson's soulful singing ably fills in for Robert Plant's caterwaul, particularly with the sinister "In My Time of Dying" and the bluesy drawl of Willie Dixon's "You Shook Me." Guitarists Rich Robinson and Audley Freed provide stellar sounding layers of depth behind Page's playing, whether on the chiming "Hey Hey What Can I Do," or the hard-hitting swagger of "Nobody's Fault But Mine." From the non-Zeppelin material, the Crowes and Page soar on covers of the B.B. King shuffle "Woke Up This Morning" and the Chicago blues stomp of Jimmy Rogers' "Sloppy Drunk."

Tenor saxophonist Mark Turner created quite the buzz with his self-titled debut in 1998. Possessing a tone reminiscent of John Coltrane coupled with the warm swing of Dexter Gordon, Turner soloed without sounding like he was soloing, just extending the melody in novel ways. Turner's sophomore effort is an all-ballad set that highlights his gorgeous tone. Turner and an excellent supporting cast (guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, bassist Larry Grenadier, pianist Kevin Hays, and drummer Brian Blade) play wonderfully on "I Loves You, Porgy," and "All or Nothing At All," among others. Despite the roster, somehow the music on the whole lacks a certain weight and energy that no amount of glowing lyrical interpretation can replace. None of this really detracts from Turner, who plays beautifully throughout. But for a sophomore effort, a little momentum could have turned this sleepy outing into a real soul station. --Ken Micallef

Bebel is the daughter of Joao Gilberto (the man who almost single-handedly popularized bossa nova), and has been singing and performing since an early age. Her ease with bossa nova and flair for translating it into a contemporary context is abundantly clear. For good measure, REMIXES features the work of top-notch DJs and producers, including Rae & Christian, Peter Kruder (of Kruder & Dorfmeister fame), and King Britt. Breezy bossa grooves dominate the set, buttressed by jazzy club beats and washes of colorful synthesizer. "August Day Song," remixed by Chateau Flight, has an almost techno/new wave feel, as does Kruder's treatment of the mesmerizing title track. Monoaural's downtempo, trip-hop take on the beautiful "Mais Feliz" recalls Portishead, while the samba-touched "Sem Conencao, re-worked by Sin Plomo, blends Gilberto's light, airy melodies with insistent, thudding beats. Gilberto's voice glides through these productions, losing none its charm for all the fancy dressing. Appropriate for lounging or dancing, TANTO TEMPO REMIXES is one of the finer Brazilian remix albums available.

At first I didn't think Robin Thicke was talented enough. Even though Wanna Love You Girl is good, it didn't show his true talent. When I took a chance and bought the CD, I was amazed. I got the same feeling when I first heard the beginning seconds of Jon B's Cool RElax CD with Shine. Robin THicke is very refreshing to my ears considering that we the American people are fed the same 'poop' (cheap hip-hop and not Tupac quality, as well as repetitive R&B mid tempo jams) daily. I look forward to his next CD
